Would it be incredibly bad form to make some things up and add odds against each.

Slept with the viola player: 5 to 1
Got drunk and passed out in the orchestra pit: 3 to 1
Conducted the overture with his penis: 18 to 1

…yeah.

Well, that's why the full name of the society is the 'Couzens and his bitches doing some Gilbert & Sullivan Society'

Thanks for changing it back, by the way.

1986 to 1997? That's one hell of a reign!

Ahh, those were clearly the days.

Thanks for the work on the chairs list. It has now replaced the one on Noteworthy People, which had less info.

Done. Don't think I've left anyone out?

Re: Cast by LoisrcLoisrc, 24 Nov 2009 13:38

Yep that looks fine to me.

Re: Music Library by LoisrcLoisrc, 24 Nov 2009 13:16

Can we get a cast list on here?

Cast by JDraperJDraper, 23 Nov 2009 23:52

Yeah, we found quite a few like that, with a couple of full scores plus a couple with just the chorus' pages. In that case I think how it's written now is the clearest way to indicate what we have.

Re: Music Library by JDraperJDraper, 23 Nov 2009 17:05

"When our gallant norman foes" is an alto solo with accompanying male chorus (who join in with the "the screw may twist" bit) so probably only one or two full copies and lots of copies of the bit for the chorus were produced, which is probably what confused you.

"Tower Warders" is a double chorus, the first bit sung by a SATB chorus, the second movement is "This the autumn of our lives" which has both a section which is a male chorus and then a solo. Then the other chorus join in again. It's a bit mad, and the reason you need lots of men to do Yeomen.

Re: Music Library by LoisrcLoisrc, 23 Nov 2009 17:00

By the way, with the two pairs of Yeoman songs that are actually the same (none of us knew Yeoman very well), is it the case that one is a recit preceding the other?

Re: Music Library by JDraperJDraper, 23 Nov 2009 16:56

Yeah, I think the other one can be deleted. I've compared the lists and everything on the Music Library list is on here.

Re: Music Library by JDraperJDraper, 23 Nov 2009 16:54

Perhaps better to combine the two or delete the other one to avoid future confusion? The other one was done just before Goole (March 2009) when we attempted to count what we had so as to save on photocopying…we failed :( But everything on that list should be around somewhere…

It is similar to the music library page, but this one is more accurate and up-to-date.

Have edited the name of James Butterworth's biog page so that it links correctly from the committee page of the website.

Good good! I want to know where everything is before moving!

There's another bunch of programmes, mostly from the 1990's, in a folder with the video archive (which I believe is at your house Mike, so maybe you can look into doing something with them?)

Re: Old programme pdf's by LoisrcLoisrc, 13 May 2009 15:46

Oh, I can get them done by the end of term, if that's alright? I finish exams etc in Week 6, and so have 4 weeks of freedom, and I'm sure I can scan them at get them back to you by Week 10 at the latest. At least them we've got some done!

Re: Old programme pdf's by flyaway_jaqiflyaway_jaqi, 13 May 2009 15:42

I know finals and stuff are busy at the moment. If you're going to be able to get them done soonish, keep them and that's fine, but if you've got loads of other stuff to do then maybe someone else could help?
I'd like them back by the end of term at the latest please.
Thank you! :)

Re: Old programme pdf's by LoisrcLoisrc, 13 May 2009 15:40

I still have them - it got stalled a bit by finals and stuffs - I can get more done after next week, or just pass them back? Up to you.
