For the 2005 summer show we decided to do a cabaret style showcase of hit songs from a selection of musicals, chosen to tell something of the story of how musicals had developed. Director Laura Dalton and musical director Matthew Collins chose a range of songs from solos such as Memory from Cats to full chorus numbers like Summer Nights from Grease.

The show was compered by long-standing society member Alex Gurney, with many old and new members of the society doing solos. It also started a summer show trend for impossibly quick costume changes!

Probably the most notable thing about Another Openin' was the Crash afterwards. Possibly the most interesting Crash in recent society history, there were plenty of "oings ongay". However, the society was still in one piece afterwards. Just.
